Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors the culture and rich histories of the Native American People who occupied this land prior to the settlers arriving in what is now called the U.S.  This celebration has become a counter celebration to Columbus Day which to many represents a violent history of colonization.
